This popular Getaway Package offers a short break to the golden sands of Trinity Beach. Admire the ocean from your beachfront balcony and take in the major highlights of our stunning region.

The package combines a stay at On The Beach Apartments, with an exciting  Barrier Reef Cruise onboard Sea Star Cruises and a breathtaking journey to Kuranda, the 'Village in the Rainforest'. An amazing beach getaway!

Day One: Arrive into Cairns, transferred to Trinity Beach, check into On The Beach Apartments

On the Beach Holiday Apartments are positioned on the beachfront of Trinity Beach. The grounds feature lush tropical landscaping, pools, a spa and outdoor entertainment areas.

The luxury One Bedroom Beachfront Apartments are self-contained, featuring a private balcony directly across from the beach with ocean views. Inside you will find a cooktop but not an oven. There is not a dishwasher but all other kitchen facilities are provided. There is also a private laundry including dryer. The bedding comprises of a Queen bed and double sofa bed.

Day Two: Sea Star Cruises

Seastar bops along at 24 knots getting to Michaelmas Cay in just over an hour. Very few vessels are now permitted access to this very sensitive island and there are now only three vessels including Seastar that travel daily and are permitted access to the Cay.

Seastar is the first to arrive at the Cay, as soon as the boat stops it is at once surrounded by large and friendly Batfish; these inquisitive, harmless fish enjoy swimming with snorkellers.

From here, their stable Tender can transfer you the short distance to the island or you can swim to it. Michaelmas Cay is not only world renowned for its thousands of nesting birds but also for its myriad of colourful corals, giant clams and reef fish.

Snorkel Tours
If you are not quite comfortable snorkelling, or you would simply like to learn more about the reef and its inhabitants, you can join in a guided snorkelling tour.

Glass Bottom Boat
Join in on the guided Glass bottom boat tour on the superviewer with a commentary learning about the reef while staying dry.

FREE Intro or Certified Dive!
For first time divers a friendly dive instructor will guide you around interesting corals, clams and marine life only metres from the boat. For certified divers swim through amazing swim throughs, search the coral caves and play with Wally the friendly fish that will follow you around like a playful puppy, he loves attention!

With over 5 hours at the reef you are able to enjoy up to 3 certified or introductory dives if you wish. Prior to departing Hastings reef, afternoon tea is served. Departing the reef you have time to relax on the short journey home arriving in Cairns at 4.30pm

Day Three: Kuranda Train/Skyrail

This breathtaking journey on one of the world's most scenic train routes will take you through hand-hewn tunnels and across bridges with amazing views. Stop at Barron Gorge to view the Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda station.

Nestled in mountaintop rainforest splendour just to the west of Cairns, Kuranda has been enchanting visitors for years. The charming ‘Village in the Rainforest' presents a bevy of tropical delights. Visit the Heritage Markets, which operate daily, or perhaps visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, Birdworld or the Kuranda Koala Gardens (own expense).

At the scheduled time, board Skyrail for the world's most beautiful rainforest experience. Glide over the Rainforest canopy and take advantage of the two stops enroute to enjoy a walk through the rainforest or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre.

Your journey ends at Caravonica Lakes where your coach is waiting to take you back to your accommodation.

Day Four: Check out from On The Beach, End of Package.

Please Note: The Trinity Beach Getaway Package includes accommodation, tours and Airport Transfers but does not include any meals besides meals included on your tours. Return coach transfers for the Sea Star Reef Cruise are an additional coast. You can start this package any day of the week. A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance for your accommodation and tours is paid directly to the operator on the day of the event. Please advise flight arrival details including flight number on booking.
